The Challenge
The 1980s single-pane aluminum storefronts were causing significant energy loss and tenant condensation complaints. All 7 units needed to remain accessible throughout the replacement — closing even one storefront for a full day was unacceptable to the property owner. The new system had to meet current Texas energy code SHGC and U-factor requirements.
Our Solution
We replaced one tenant bay at a time, completing each unit in a single day. Temporary clear plastic sheeting was installed each morning before any tenant opened, then the new storefront was complete by 4 PM.
