The Challenge
The building's 1970s electrical infrastructure was undersized for modern commercial loads — frequent breaker trips were disrupting operations and the aging wiring posed a fire risk. The upgrade had to be completed without shutting down the tenant's business operations, requiring all work to be phased and coordinated around occupied office hours.
Our Solution
We staged the upgrade over two weekends to minimize operational disruption. The new 400-amp service was roughed in during the first weekend, with a temporary feed maintaining power to critical circuits throughout. On the second weekend, we made the final cutover, replaced the distribution panel, and commissioned all new circuits.
