Hidalgo Post Office Drywall Repair
A plumbing repair at the Hidalgo Main Post Office meant cutting into the drywall and concrete in the custodian's room. Once the plumbing was fixed, we came in to patch and finish the wall so the room looked like nothing had happened.
The Challenge
Getting to the pipes left an open section of wall where the drywall and part of the concrete had been broken out. The custodian's room was left with a torn-up wall that needed to be closed back up clean and matched to the surrounding finish, not just covered over.
Our Solution
We cut the opening back to solid edges, installed new drywall to fill it, then taped, floated, and textured it to match the existing wall. Once it dried, we sanded and finished the patch so it blended into the rest of the room.
The Results
The custodian's room wall is whole again, with a finished surface that matches what was there before. The repair closed out the plumbing job cleanly and put the space fully back in use.
