Pasadena Post Office Floor Replacement
A sewage backup soaked the carpet in the postmaster's office at the Pasadena Main Post Office and left a lasting odor. The plumbing was already fixed, but the ruined carpet and baseboards had been torn out, leaving bare concrete, and the postmaster was working out of another room. We put in new flooring and base so she could move back in.

The Challenge
The old carpet was a loss after the backup, and pulling it out took the baseboards with it, since they had been stapled down over the carpet. That left exposed concrete and no trim. The postmaster was displaced from her own office, so the priority was a clean, sealed floor back in place quickly without dragging the job out.
Our Solution
We prepped the bare slab and confirmed it was clean and dry after the water damage. Then we laid new commercial vinyl tile rated for a high-traffic office and installed fresh base around the room to finish the edges and cover the wall-to-floor joint the old staples had torn up. We cleaned the space and cleared out before handing it back.
The Results
The postmaster got her office back with a fresh, sealed floor that wipes clean and stands up to daily traffic. No more odor, no exposed slab, and new base all the way around. The room went from gutted to ready to use again.
